Hospice Liaison/Community Relations Rep. - Come Grow With Us At Optimal!

Summary:

The Community Relations Rep is responsible for the marketing of Hospice and / or Home Health services to the community being served, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and retail sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government and other payers as deemed appropriate by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. Have at least 5 years experience as a licensed provider of home health and / or hospice services and/ or 2 years of marketing and / or 2 years of operational experience in home health or hospice and / or a Bachelorís degree in Marketing.
  2. Demonstrates an ability to interact with licensed and unlicensed staff.
  3. Has an ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with patients, family, coworkers and the community.
  4. Demonstrates strong skills in communication, negotiation, presentation and public relations.
  5. Highly Organized, autonomous, assertive, flexibility, creative and cooperative in performing job responsibilities.

Job Duties:

  1. Directs all daily marketing operations including direct establishment and implementation of community education and marketing initiatives.
  2. Assists the Administrator in achieving agency census goals as outlined in the annual budget and monitors allocation of resources in meeting those needs.
  3. Continuously conducts market assessment and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
  4. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with local Optimal staff, current and potential referral and payer sources.
  5. Builds and monitors community customer payer and patient perception of Optimal Health Services as a high quality provider of services.
  6. Partnering with the local Administrator and the Director of Patient Care Services, provides leadership to the local staff in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address unmet customer needs.
  7. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Optimal Health Serviceís markets including government agencies, payers, referral sources and competitor market positioning.
  8. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should said services not be available by Optimal Health Services.
